Since 1988 BGE Design Studio has been capturing product images for use in
catalogs and advertising with high resolution digital cameras and producing
the highest quality images available anywhere.

In those days digital photography was more a concept than a reality.
Recognizing digital photography to be the way of the future, we set about to
create a digital work flow long before high resolution digital cameras existed.

We secured a newly invented microscope scanner from a scientific laboratory.
Our thinking was; if this scanner could accurately capture the details of
tiny micro bacteria, it should excel at capturing the details of products.
We modified the scanner's microscope mount to accept a photographic macro
camera lens. The results were breathtaking. We had invented a high
resolution digital camera with capabilities far beyond anything at that time.

The images that scanner/camera captured were so beautifully detailed and
color accurate people told us they looked three dimensional. People said the
images seemed to be jumping off the page.

Photography is all about lighting.

The final image is a result of the amount of light, the direction of the light,
and the quality of the light.

Lighting reflective products requires great skill and experience.
We control (or prevent) reflections and shadows, while
at the same time achieving colors that are true to the product.

We specialize in lighting your products to capture the true and accurate colors,
all the fine details, with none of the often seen reflections, shadows, or
flash blowouts.

Color accuracy is our prime concern because your customer expects your catalog to be an accurate
representation of your products.

Our systems are calibrated and profiled daily to insure accurate color representation.

We use Pantone certified color management systems including Pantone ColorVision
and SpectraView Colorimeters and Profilers.

We use ColorBurst RIP's to deliver color accurate CMYK proofs.

We use X-Rite Spectrophotometers to match the color you request.

From Canon and Nikon to Hasselblad and Phase One we use only the highest quality cutting
edge technology to insure your images are the richest in color and the sharpest in detail.

We choose just the right light, or combination of lights, to capture your product,
no matter what it is, perfectly, accurately, and in every detail.

From wireless remote controlled UV filtered, color corrected to 5600º Kelvin,
studio lighting by Paul Buff, White Lightning capable of precision control
down to 1/10 of a stop, to Scandals high frequency (flicker free) fluorescent light
systems imported from England, to our own proprietary light systems incorporating
fluorescent, incandescent, halogen, and LED sparkle lights, all at one time!
